Florianopolis Sunhouse Backpackers was created and is operated by a family of friends born and raised in Lagoa da Conceicao one of the most beautiful places in the island of Florianópolis.
The idea of the backpacker came after 8 years of traveling around Australia, Canada, Chile, New Zealand, Indonesia, England, Spain and other places as backpackers ourselves so we can say that we know what it takes to be a backpacker.
Floripa Sunhouse Backpackers welcomes its guests with the local knowledge and cheers that only the island natives can give. With english speaking staff and a great location the Sunhouse Backpackers is where you can enjoy the real Florianopolis island vibe.
We offer tours, guides and activities for day trips exploring the natural beauties of Florianopolis, plus information, discount entrance and transport to the best night clubs, live music bars, pubs and parties on the island.
Sunhouse Backpackers is very well located in the heart of Lagoa da Conceicao, 3 min walk distance from the trendy Centrinho da Lagoa with its famous live music bars, the best night clubs in town, restaurants, stylish pubs, local cultural centres, cafes and so much more. You can cruise along at the local markets with a wide range of products and great local food shops, explore, party or relax and experience the true brazilian way of life.
The famous beaches of Joaquina (amazing surfing) and praia Mole (famous for beautiful young people) are a short bike ride . The amazing lake of Lagoa da Conceicao, where you can practice windsurf, stand up paddle board, wakeboarding, snorkelling, fishing or simply just relax and enjoy the magic, is located only a couple blocks from the backpacker.
